I support the ongoing efforts of the City of Rancho Cordova’s Homeless Initiatives outlined in the Homeless Action Plan Fiscal Year 2018 – 2019 .

I also strongly support continued funding for the Mather Veterans Village, and programs specifically focused on kids aging out of the foster care system.

There must, however, be a balance struck between protection of homeless rights and public health and safety.

I am in support of increased security and surveillance of public schools during after hours to ensure our schools aren’t turning into homeless camps and havens for crime and vandalism, as well as public health issues with needle disposal and human waste.
